How long until onion starts working on hair?

In a 2002 controlled study (N=38), twice-daily topical onion juice was linked to visible regrowth in 20 of 23 users at six weeks, versus 2 of 15 in the water arm (PMID 12126069; Scopus cited-by 83). That is crude-juice data, not a product. Tara's onion scalp serum pairs onion with peptides, used consistently over several weeks.

What causes heavy hair loss?

A major driver is DHT, produced by type-2 5α-reductase — the isoform dominating the scalp follicle — which miniaturises follicles. Biochanin A from Red Clover inhibits this human enzyme far more potently against the type-2 isoform (PMID 11931850; Scopus cited-by 230). Tara's serum contains this complex; heavy or sudden shedding warrants a doctor.

What is the best serum for hair growth and length?

No single serum is proven "best" for everyone, but quercetin (an onion flavonoid) accelerated hair regeneration and raised perifollicular microvasculature via HIF-1α in an in-vivo model (PMID 37285263; Scopus cited-by 34) — though the mechanism was studied with purified quercetin, not onion. Is a peptide serum as effective as a hair-loss spray?

How do I use onion serum to thicken hair?

Hydrolyzed keratin is what addresses the fibre itself: mid-MW keratin peptides penetrate the hair cortex and raised break stress by ~18.6% versus controls (PMID 33037625; manufacturer-funded, single-application ex vivo), so strands resist breakage and read as fuller. With Tara's onion serum, apply to a dry or damp scalp and massage in gently, daily.

How much serum should I apply each time?

Apply one full pipette along the hairline, sides, and back. Massage the scalp in circular motions to distribute evenly. Do not rinse.

Do I need to rinse the serum after application?

No. Let it work on your scalp and do not rinse. Our serum has a water base so it’s very light, non-greasy and dries quickly without leaving residues.

Can I combine the serum with other products?
