About This Ingredient

Salicylic acid is a lipophilic beta-hydroxy acid that loosens the bonds holding scalp build-up and lifts the oil that traps the follicle. At the 0.4% scalp dose it works by exfoliation and build-up lifting — it does not carry an anti-dandruff drug claim, which the monograph recognises only at 1.8% and above. It preps a clean scalp.
